Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
2 2/3 c. flour
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar; add egg and beat until smooth.
Add vanilla and beat again.
Add flour and salt; mix to a cookie dough. Roll out about 1/8-inch thick and cut into shapes.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 7 to 10 minutes.
Cookies should be beige in color.
