Hot German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium potatoes, boiled in their skins
    6 slices bacon
    3/4 c. chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 Tbsp. sugar or 2 Tbsp.
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. celery seed
    dash of pepper
    3/4 c. water
    1/3 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Peel potatoes and slice thin.
    Fry bacon and drain on paper towel.
    Saute the onion in the bacon fat until golden brown.
    Blend in the flour, sugar, salt, celery seed and pepper.
    Cook over low heat, stirring until smooth and bubbly.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in water and vinegar.
    Heat to boil, stirring constantly.
    Boil for 1 minute and then stir in carefully the potatoes and bacon pieces, crumbled.
    Remove from heat, cover and let stand until ready to serve.
    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
