Chicken Pot Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    6 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. plain flour
    3 c. chicken broth
    3 c. cubed cooked chicken
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen green peas and carrots, cooked and drained
    1/4 c. chopped pimiento
    pastry for 2-crust pie
Preparation
    Saute onion in butter until tender, but not brown.
    Blend in flour.
    Add broth all at once; cook and stir until thick and bubbly.
    Add chicken, peas and carrots and pimiento; heat until bubbly.
    Line a 2 to 2 1/2-quart baking dish with pastry.
    Pour chicken mixture into crust.
    Add top crust and cut slits for escape of steam.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 40 to 50 minutes.
    Makes 6 servings.
