Ingredients

8 medium carrots
2 Tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
Preparation

Scrape carrots and cut into strips 1/4 inch thick and 1 1/2 inches long.
Place strips in a buttered casserole dish and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Dot with brown sugar and butter. Bake in a moderate oven (350\u00b0) for 1 1/2 hours.
Carrots may be sliced into thin slices instead of strips, if desired.
