Squash Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sliced small squash
    4 to 5 slices onion and sweet pepper
    1/2 c. salt
    5 c. sugar
    3 c. vinegar
    1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Sterilize your jars and lids for 2 minutes; let cool, then add the following:
    some dill weed, onion (1/4 wedges), jalapeno or chili pepper (1 or 2, depends on how hot you want it), garlic sections, sliced celery, sliced carrots, cucumbers and a dash of black pepper.
