Corn Bread Taco Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 (1 1/8 oz.) pkg. Durkee taco seasoning
    1/2 c. water
    1 (12 oz.) can whole kernel corn, drained
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 (8 1/2 oz.) pkg. corn muffin mix, plus ingredients to prepare mix
    1 (2.8 oz.) can Durkee French fried onions
    1/2 c. (2 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese*
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    In large skillet, brown ground beef; drain.
    Stir in taco seasoning, water, corn, green pepper and tomato sauce.
    Pour mixture into 2-quart casserole.
    Prepare corn muffin mix according to package directions; stir in 1/2 can onions.
    Spoon corn muffin batter around edge of beef mixture. Bake, uncovered, at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes or until corn bread is done.
    Top corn bread with cheese and remaining onions; bake, uncovered, for 1 to 3 minutes or until onions are golden brown. Makes 6 servings.
