Oatmeal Macaroons - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 c. granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/4 c. self-rising flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg (optional)
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 c. rolled oats (quick)
1 c. raisins
1 c. coconut
1 c. pecans
Preparation

Mix shortening, sugars, vanilla and eggs and beat thoroughly. Sift flour and spices together; add to shortening mixture.\tBlend thoroughly.
Lightly stir in raisins, oats, coconut and pecans. This will be hard to mix and you may have to mix with your hands. Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes or until very lightly browned.
