Old Fashioned Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    6 eggs, separated
    3 1/2 c. plain flour
    3 c. sugar
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add egg yolks that have been well beaten.
    Sift the flour, salt and baking powder together, then add alternately with milk.
    Add the vanilla and stiffly beaten egg whites.
    Bake in a greased tube pan at 350\u00b0 for about 1 hour.
