Christmas Wassail Bowl - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. whole allspice
1 gal. apple cider
2 Tbsp. whole cloves
3 whole sticks cinnamon broken in half
1 small whole orange studded with cloves (optional)
A shot of your favorite bourbon (optional)

Preparation

In a very large pan (Dutch oven) bring cider and sugar just to a boil to dissolve the sugar.
Remove from heat.
