Buttermilk Donuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs, beaten
    2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. warm mashed potatoes
    1/3 c. shortening, melted
    1 c. buttermilk
    6 c. flour
    4 Tbsp. baking powder
    1 1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Add sugar to eggs.
    Beat until well mixed.
    Stir in potatoes, shortening and buttermilk.
    Add dry ingredients and mix only until flour is completely moistened.
    Chill dough 1 hour or overnight.
