Caramel Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    German chocolate cake mix
    1 1/2 sticks butter or margarine
    1/3 c. evaporated milk
    nuts (optional)
    1 bag caramels
    1 (6 oz.) bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation
    Mix all but caramels together; pour half of the mixture into a greased 13 x 9 pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 6 minutes. Melt 50 caramels with the remaining small can of evaporated milk. Spread over hot cake, then evenly pour the chocolate chips on top of caramel. Top with the remaining cake mix and add nuts, if desired; bake another 15 to 18 minutes.
