Blackberry Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    2 c. sugar
    5 eggs
    1 c. seedless blackberry jam
    3 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt (may omit)
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. raisins
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar until light.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Add jam and beat well.
    Add sifted flour, soda, salt, cloves and allspice, alternating with buttermilk and beating well after each addition until smooth. Stir in raisins and nuts.
