Basic Cream Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. butter
    salt and pepper to taste
    celery seed (optional)
    dried onion (optional)
    nutmeg (optional)
Preparation
    Melt butter and add 3/4 cup milk.
    Mix cornstarch in cup with remaining 1/4 cup milk.
    Then add to other milk in saucepan; stirring constantly, heat until mixture just starts to boil and turn heat off.
    Can add Swiss, Cheddar or Velveeta cheese to make a cheese sauce.
    Pour over noodles, potatoes or chopped broccoli.
