Caliente Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. salt (plain)
    1 gal. water
    cucumbers
    1 1/2 qt. vinegar
    3/4 c. salt (plain)
    1/4 c. sugar
    2 1/2 qt. water
    2 Tbsp. whole pickling spice
    2 tsp. mustard seed
    1 clove garlic
    3 heads dill weed or seed
Preparation
    Soak pickles overnight in 3/4 cup salt and 1 gallon of water. In a saucepan, boil 1 1/2 quarts vinegar, 3/4 cup salt, sugar, 2 1/2 quarts water and pickling spice (in a cloth).
    In canning jars, put in dill weed or dill seed, garlic, mustard seed and cucumbers.
    Pour liquid mixture into jars and seal.
    Process 20 minutes.
