Round Steak En Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 onions, sliced
    3 Tbsp. margarine
    1 1/2 lb. round steak
    water
    2 Tbsp. finely chopped parsley
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. thyme
    1/4 tsp. marjoram
    4 large potatoes, cut in 1-inch cubes
    3 c. sliced carrots
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, thawed
Preparation
    Saute onions in margarine until golden brown.
    Arrange onions in bottom of 3-quart casserole.
    Cut fat from meat; brown meat on both sides.
    Place in casserole on top of onions.
    Pour about 1/4 cup of water into drippings; stir, then pour over onions and meat. Add just enough more water to cover onion layer.
    Sprinkle parsley, salt, pepper, thyme and marjoram over meat.
    Arrange carrots on top.
    Cover and bake in a slow oven (300\u00b0) for 1 hour. Arrange potatoes and peas over carrots and continue baking in slow oven for 1 hour.
