Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. round steak (1/2-inch thick)
    1 c. sliced onion
    1 c. beef broth
    2 stalks celery, chopped
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    2 green peppers, cut in strips
    1 c. sliced mushrooms
    1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
    3 Tbsp. soy sauce
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Cut round steak into thin strips and brown in Dutch oven in small amount of oil and margarine.
    Add beef broth, onion, celery, salt, garlic and ginger; simmer, covered, for 35 to 40 minutes, or until tender.
    Add green peppers, mushrooms and tomatoes; cook an additional 10 minutes.
    Mix soy sauce and cornstarch in 1 cup water until smooth.
    Slowly stir into sauce and cook, stirring constantly, until thickened.
    Serve over rice.
