Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. oatmeal
    1 3/4 c. boiling water
    3/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1 stick margarine
    2 eggs
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 (12 oz.) bag chocolate chips
    1/2 c. nutmeats (optional)
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over oatmeal; let stand 10 minutes.
    Stir in softened margarine and sugar.
    Add eggs; stir well.
    Add dry ingredients.
    Stir in half package of chocolate chips.
    Pour batter into greased pan.
    Sprinkle with remaining chips and the nutmeats (if desired).
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
    Cool; cut into squares.
