Tamale Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 large onion, chopped
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 (12 oz.) can kernel corn, drained
    1 c. chopped black olives
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. chili powder
    2 c. grated Jack cheese
    1 box Jiffy cornbread mix
Preparation
    Brown ground beef with onion in a large skillet. Drain.
    Add garlic powder, tomato sauce, corn, olives, salt and chili powder. Slowly add cheese to melt.
    Pour into greased 11-inch pie plate. Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Prepare cornbread mix according to package directions. Spread over meat mixture. Bake in a 375\u00b0 oven for 35 minutes.
    Serves 6.
