Lottie'S Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt
1 c. cocoa
1 c. boiling water
1 c. sour milk
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour

Preparation

Mix shortening and sugar, add eggs and salt.
Pour boiling water over cocoa.
Mix together.
Add to egg and sugar mixture. Add vanilla.
Add flour and soda alternately with sour milk.
Put in greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake in 325\u00b0 oven for 40 minutes.
