Congo Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/3 c. sugar
    4 tsp. cinnamon
    chocolate chips
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 egg
    1 egg, separated
    nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Sift flour, baking powder, 1 cup sugar and 3 teaspoons cinnamon.
    Combine butter, shortening, eggs and egg yolks.
    Add to dry ingredients.
    Beat egg whites until peaks form.
    Put dry ingredients into brownie pan.
    Top with egg white and the remaining 1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
    Add chocolate chips on top and nuts.
    Bake for 25 minutes at 350\u00b0.
