Easy As Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium apples (4 c.)
    1 1/2 c. water
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. peach jello
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. instant vanilla pudding
    1 baked pie shell
Preparation
    Combine apples, water, spices and butter.
    Bring to a boil and reduce heat.
    Simmer 5 minutes.
    Stir in jello, then pudding.
    Mix well.
    Bring to a boil over high heat.
    Remove and let stand 5 minutes.
    Pour into pie shell.
    Chill 3 to 4 hours.
