Rigatoni Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. 80% olive oil
    3 to 4 onions, chopped
    2 cloves garlic, chopped
    2 (12 oz.) cans tomato paste
    2 (12 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    1 (12 oz.) can water
    2 to 3 Tbsp. white sugar
    salt and pepper to taste
    pinch of sweet basil
Preparation
    Brown onions in oil.
    Add garlic, tomato paste, tomato sauce and water.
    Boil 1/2 hour, stirring often.
    Add sugar, salt, pepper and sweet basil.
    Cook over low heat for 1 1/2 hours, stirring often.
