Paprikas Csirke - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 fryer (2 to 2 1/2 lb.), disjointed
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 large onion, sliced
    4 Tbsp. margarine
    1 1/2 tsp. paprika (Hungarian)
    1 large tomato, sliced
    1 bell pepper, sliced
    1/4 lb. mushrooms, sliced (if using canned mushrooms, drain)
    1/2 c. sour cream
Preparation
    In
    a
    Dutch
    oven,
    saute onions until translucent, in margarine.
    Remove
    onions with a slotted spoon and set aside. In remaining
    pan
    juices,
    brown
    chicken
    well on all sides. Return onions to pan, stir in the paprika, half of the peppers and half of
    the
    tomatoes.
    Cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Turn chicken;
    add mushrooms and cook, covered, until chicken is tender
    (approximately 10 to 15 minutes). Transfer chicken to serving
    dish
    and
    keep
    warm.
    Stir sour cream into Dutch oven; add
    a
    little water if necessary to make pan gravy. Add additional
    seasoning,
    if
    necessary,
    and pour over chicken. Garnish with remaining tomatoes and pepper slices.
    Makes 4 to 6 servings.
