Beef Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. lean ground round
1/2 c. diced celery
1 Tbsp. instant minced onion
1 can (28 oz.) whole tomatoes and liquid
1/2 c. uncooked long grain rice
1 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 can (4 oz.) mushroom pieces and liquid
Preparation

Place a plastic colander in a large glass mixing bowl. Crumble ground round into small pieces and cover with wax paper. Microwave on High for 5 minutes or until meat is no longer pink, stirring after 2 1/2 minutes.
In a 3-quart casserole, combine ground beef, celery, onion, tomatoes, rice, chili powder, pepper and mushrooms.
Microwave covered on High setting for 10 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking time.
Stir well.
Reduce power level to Medium (50% power), and microwave covered for 20 minutes or until rice is soft.
Serves 4.
