Italian Tomato Sauce(Serves 6) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 oz. tomato paste
    1 (No. 2 1/2) can Italian style tomatoes
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1/4 c. finely chopped onion
    1 small clove garlic, finely chopped
    1/4 c. celery, finely chopped
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/4 c. chopped fresh parsley
    1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Fry onion, garlic and celery slowly in the oil about 5 minutes.
    Crush tomatoes.
    Add to paste and the onion, celery and garlic.
    Add all other ingredients and simmer in a heavy covered pan 1 hour.
    Then add the meat balls and simmer, covered, about 30 minutes longer.
    (Cooked mushrooms may be added last 15 minutes.) If sauce becomes too thick, add a little water.
