Linguine With Clam Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. olive oil
6 cloves garlic, chopped
1/2 c. onions, chopped
1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, chopped
2 (6 1/2 oz.) cans minced clams (reserve 1/2 c. juice)
1/2 c. white wine
1 tsp. basil
1 tsp. thyme
1/8 tsp. pepper
8 oz. cooked linguine
fresh parsley
Preparation

In olive oil saute until translucent the garlic, onions and pepper.
Add mushrooms; cook 3 minutes.
Drain and reserve juice from clams; add clam juice and wine to mixture in pan.
Cook 10 minutes with cover off over medium-high heat or until mixture is reduced by half.
Stir in clams, basil, thyme and pepper.
Simmer 5 minutes.
Pour over linguine in a large bowl and toss well. Sprinkle with lots of chopped parsley, 1/2 to 1 cup.
