Oatmeal Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. quick cook oats (may use old-fashion oats instead of quick)
    1 c. milk
    1/2 c. flour
    1/3 c. sugar
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 egg, well beaten
    1/4 c. oil
    flavoring (1 tsp. raisins and cinnamon, chocolate chips, chopped nuts, bran, if desired)
Preparation
    Combine oats and milk.
    Allow to stand 15 minutes.
    Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
    In another bowl, combine egg, oil and oatmeal mixture.
    Add dry ingredients, stirring just to moisten. Fill buttered muffin pans 2/3 full.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 20 to 30 minutes.
    Makes about 1 dozen. Enjoy!
