Mother'S Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large head cabbage
    1 c. vinegar
    1 c. water
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    6 slices bacon
Preparation
    Mix water, sugar and vinegar in large kettle.
    Cut up cabbage in small pieces and break apart.
    Place in kettle with bacon. Simmer for 3 hours.
    Can also be cooked in crock-pot on low for 5 to 6 hours.
