Apple Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. flour (sift or spoon into cup)
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. vegetable shortening
    1 egg yolk
    milk
Preparation
    Mix flour, sugar and salt in bowl.
    Cut in shortening as for pie crust.
    Put egg yolk in measuring cup and fill with milk to 2/3 cup mark.
    Add to pie crust mixture an blend just until mixed. Divide dough in half and roll half on floured cloth to fit into jelly roll pan, 15 1/2 x 10 1/2-inch.
