Easy Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. stew beef
    4 carrots, cut up
    2 stalks celery, cut up
    2 onions, quartered
    1 can tomato soup
    1 1/2 to 2 cans water
    1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
    3 to 4 potatoes, cubed
Preparation
    Mix in large pan and bake 5 hours at 250\u00b0 covered.
    I add a little thickening made from cornstarch and water before serving.
