Aunt Garnett'S Pear Honey - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    11 lb. pears (after peeling and coring)
    2 oranges, seeded (peels included)
    6 lb. sugar
    1 (No. 2 1/2) can crushed pineapple
    1 lb. shredded coconut
Preparation
    Put
    pears and oranges through food chopper.
    Add sugar and cook until tender, stirring constantly.
    Add pineapple and cook until
    it looks like marmalade.
    Add coconut; boil again. Stir very
    often to prevent scorching.
    Seal while hot.\tMakes 12 pints.
