Baked Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs, slightly beaten
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 c. scalded milk
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    ground nutmeg
Preparation
    Combine eggs, sugar and salt.
    Slowly add milk and vanilla, blending well.
    Pour mixture into a 1-quart casserole or individual custard cups; sprinkle with nutmeg.
    Place casserole or cups in a shallow pan with a small amount of water.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes, or until knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean.
    Serve warm or chilled.
    Yields 4 servings.
