Peanut Butter Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. cornstarch
    2/3 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 c. milk
    3 egg yolks
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. peanut butter
Preparation
    Scald 2 cups milk with butter.
    Combine all other ingredients except peanut butter.
    Gradually add scalded milk.
    Cook until thickened.
    Remove from heat and add peanut butter.
    Pour into baked pie shell.
    Top with meringue.
    Bake until browned.
