Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, chopped
    1 c. celery, chopped
    10 oz. frozen peas
    1/2 c. bell pepper, chopped
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 c. shredded carrot
    2 c. mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    8 oz. Mozzarella cheese, shredded
    bacon bits (if desired)
Preparation
    Place a layer of lettuce. Add each vegetable in layers. Top off vegetables with more lettuce. Spread over lettuce 2 cups mayonnaise. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons sugar over mayonnaise. Add the Mozzarella cheese. Let set for 24 hours. Sprinkle bacon bits before serving, if desired.
