Dinner Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. milk, scalded
    1/4 c. shortening
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 pkg. yeast
    1/4 c. lukewarm water
    1 egg, beaten
    3 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Combine milk, shortening, sugar and salt. Cool to lukewarm. Add yeast, softened in water; add egg. Gradually stir in flour to form soft dough. Beat vigorously; cover and let rise until doubled in bulk. Turn out on floured surface and cut with round biscuit cutter. Put in greased pan and turn top 3/4 the way down, then roll and press lightly. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes or until done.
