Raspberry Almond Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    3/4 c. quick oats
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. soft oleo
    1/2 tsp. almond extract
    1/2 c. red raspberry preserves
    1/3 c. sliced almonds
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Line 8 or 9-inch square pan with foil. Lightly grease foil.
    Mix flour, oats and sugar in large bowl.
    Cut oleo into mixture until you have coarse crumbs.
    Stir in extract until well blended.
    Reserve about 1 cup oat mixture.
    Press remainder evenly in bottom of pan.
    Spread preserves on top, about 1/2 inch from edges.
    Mix almonds with reserved oat mixture. Sprinkle over preserves, then press down gently.
    Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until edges are golden.
    Cool in pan on rack.
    Lift foil by ends to cutting board.
    Cut into bars.
