Smoked Sausage Spanish Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (1 lb.) pkg. smoked sausage
    1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1/2 c. water
    3/4 tsp. dried thyme leaves
    dash of hot pepper sauce
    2 c. instant rice
Preparation
    Cut sausage into 1/2-inch pieces.
    Combine all ingredients, except rice, in large saucepan or Dutch oven.
    Bring to a boil, cover and turn down heat.
    Simmer about 10 minutes.
    Stir in rice, remove from heat.
    Cover and let stand 5 minutes.
    Makes 4 servings.
