Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (10 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
    1/3 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. all-purpose flour
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Heat chocolate and shortening over low heat, stirring constantly until melted.
    Remove from heat; mix in sugar, eggs and vanilla.
    Stir in remaining ingredients.
    Spread in greased pan (8 x 8 x 2-inches).
    Bake until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan, 30 to 35 minutes.
    Cool slightly. Frost with Chocolate Frosting if desired.
