Butterscotch Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. water
    4 Tbsp. butter
    1 3/4 c. scalded milk
    3 egg yolks
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. cornstarch
    1/4 c. cold milk
Preparation
    Melt sugar; when melted, add water and butter and allow to dissolve.
    Scald milk and add to mixture.
    Beat egg yolks.
    Add brown sugar, cornstarch, salt and cold milk.
    Add mixture to hot mixture.
    Cook on low heat until thickened, stirring constantly. Cool; pour into baked 9-inch pie shell and cover with meringue. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 13 to 15 minutes.
