Carrot Casserole Almondine - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. carrots, washed, peeled and cut into 1-inch pieces
    1 qt. boiling water
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
    1/8 tsp. thyme
    1/8 tsp. marjoram
    1 c. crushed cheese crackers
    1/3 c. butter or margarine, melted
    1/3 c. slivered almonds
Preparation
    Boil carrots in water with salt until tender-crisp; drain. Place carrots, tomatoes and herbs in a 1-quart buttered casserole. Mix crushed cheese crackers and almonds with melted butter and use to top casserole.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
    May be made early in the day and reheated.
    Serves 4.
