Peach Kuchen - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    9 large or 12 small canned, halved peaches
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    2 egg yolks
    1 c. heavy cream or sour cream
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients and 2 tablespoons of the sugar altogether.
    Work in butter with processor until like corn meal. Put in an 8-inch square, ungreased pan and pat the above mixture up on sides and bottom of pan.
    Put peach halves over pastry. Sprinkle cinnamon and remaining sugar over peach halves.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    Mix 2 eggs and cream together and pour over peaches and pastry.
    Bake for 20 or 30 minutes longer.
    Serve warm or cold.
    Serves 6 or 8.
