Banana Pecan Torte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine, softened
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    2 c. mashed ripe bananas (about 4 medium)
    2 tsp. vanilla extract
    3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 c. chopped pecans, toasted
Preparation
    In mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
    Add eggs and beat. Beat in bananas and vanilla.
    Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk.
    Stir in pecans.
    Pour into 3 greased and floured 9-inch round cake pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
    Cool in pan 10 minutes; remove to cool completely.
