Sauerkraut A La Russe - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. green cabbage, shredded
    2 large yellow onions, sliced
    3 large Granny Smith apples, sliced
    2 lb. prepared sauerkraut, rinsed
    1 (8 oz.) can chicken broth
    2 large bay leaves
    1 Tbsp. tomato sauce
    1 Tbsp. olive oil
Preparation
    In hot oil, saute cabbage and onions.
    Add rest of ingredients.
    Cook 45 minutes.
    Serves a crowd.
