Beef Stroganoff - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. sirloin or round steak
garlic powder
3 Tbsp. flour
1 3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. paprika
1/2 c. minced onions
1 can consomme
1/2 c. water
1 can mushrooms, drained
1/2 c. sour cream
2 Tbsp. chopped chives
Preparation

Rub garlic into meat and cut into 1/4-inch thick strips.
Mix next 4 ingredients and coat meat.
Brown well in small amount of oil.
Add onions and cook until translucent.
Add rest of flour mixture, consomme, water and mushrooms.
Cover and cook slow about 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
Remove cover and cook until thickened.
Add sour cream and chives.
Serve over rice, mashed potatoes or noodles.
