White Sauce For Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 c. milk
    4 to 5 to 6 egg whites
Preparation
    Combine sugar, flour, shortening and milk in saucepan and heat until boiling.
    Cool slightly and stir in vanilla.
    Pour mixture slowly over stiffly beaten egg whites, beating until well blended. Especially good with chocolate cake.
