Cherry Topping Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 box yellow cake mix
1 small box regular vanilla pudding
1 c. milk
1 3/4 sticks oleo
1 c. granulated sugar
1 can cherry pie filling
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Prepare cake mix as directed on box.
Pour into 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
While cake is baking, prepare pudding using one cup of milk.
Let cool. After pudding and cake are cool, prepare icing.
Cream oleo and sugar for 5 minutes, then add cooled pudding and continue beating for 5 more minutes.
When light and fluffy, ice cake.
Top with cherries, then chopped nuts.
Thickened pineapple can be substituted for cherries.
