Apple Dandy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 large apples
    1 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 c. butter or margarine (1 stick)
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    2 c. oatmeal
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Peel, core and thickly slice apples.
    Grease 10-inch pan or baking dish.
    Pat apples into pan.
    Pour syrup over apples.
    Mix sugar, flour and rest of ingredients into a crumb topping.
    Spread over apples.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Serve with top-quality vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt.
