Peach Butterscotch Crisp - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. firmly packed dark brown sugar
    1 c. sifted flour
    1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
    1/2 c. butter
    2 c. fresh sliced peaches
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Mix dry ingredients together thoroughly.
    Cut in butter with a pastry blender until the consistency of coarse meal.
    Butter a 1-quart baking dish. Arrange peaches and spread crumb mixture over the top.
    Bake about 10 minutes and reduce oven heat to 325\u00b0, baking another 30 minutes or until fruit is soft.
    Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
