Butter Beans - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 cans butter beans
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2/3 c. ketchup
1/2 lb. bacon
1 medium onion
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Dice bacon and fry with onion until done.
Don't drain fat off bacon and onions as this adds a lot of flavor.
Place beans in a large pan.
Add remaining ingredients.
Cook until thickened, about 1 hour, on low heat.
