Pecan Scrolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    4 Tbsp. sifted cake flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. pecans, finely chopped
Preparation
    Cream shortening.
    Add sugar gradually and beat until light. Add eggs; blend well.
    Add vanilla.
    Add flour and salt; mix thoroughly.
    Add nuts and mix.
    Drop by scant teaspoonful 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet and with back of spoon, press thin as possible.
    Bake at 352\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
    Roll at once over handle of spoon as they harden rapidly.
    Will make 3 dozen.
